Edwardian Recliner

Although largely intact, this lovely old reclining chair looked sad and worn. The fabric was old and ripped and the finish on the wood was largely gone.

The chair had to be stripped and the spring unit fixed. This was then reupholstered traditionally and covered in a thick cream fabric chosen by the client to match her room. The edges were hand-sewn for a quality finish. The wood in the base section was then smoothed and prepared and polished to a perfect smooth surface.
